How to pack your backpack

The problem with holidays is always packing the bags at the start and end and camping is no different. As well as other considerations it's not easy to take a suitcase on a campsite so the best way to get around this is to get yourself a camping backpack like this one on amazon.
The problem of course with this type of bag is how to fit everything inside. Folding is not an option with this bag so here are some tips to get you started.
Roll don't fold
To make more items fit inside your small bag the best way to go about it is to roll your clothes. I find that making a pack of all of the clothes you will need that day is the best way to do this. By rolling a top on the outside with socks hanging out either end these can then be folded over to hold the pack shut keeping them more compact.
Share the load
If you are going as part of a group then it's a great idea to share out items between you. Things such as food and cooking supplies can be spread out between bags to help to spread the weight and space out between you.
Pack light
Obviously some things just won't fit so it may be time to reduce the items you are taking. Camping is about nature and minimalism but obviously there is still no power sockets so things like a hairdryer and a phone charger will be no use to you. Try packing your bags using as little as possible, clothes and essentials are all you need, see if you can manage.
